Welcome! (back)
Hello! My name is Nathaly Gisel Cabrera-Hernández but that’s a mouthful, so it’s just Nathaly or Nat. I am 17 year-old Salvadorian-Mexican hispanic female. I was born here the great United States however, my first language was spanish. I know english and I'm in the process of learning French. My goal in life has always been to go to collage, I’ve loved school since I was a kid and have always been interested in studying law. Most recently, it has been a difficult time for me in school, balancing everything like work and, but I haven’t given up. My dream as a kid, and even before getting into high school has been to work as a forensic scientist or a crime scene investigator. However, for several reasons, my path of pursuit has changed and I’ve decided to achieve what could have been my mother's career, as a lawyer. As a kid I disliked lawyers, I could never see myself working on a case while sitting at a desk, to me, working outside in the field was my motivation. Although the lawyer career doesn’t seem that bad now, it is still painfully stressful. Other than that my life really calm, which I can appreciate. I can rely on my boyfriend Nicolas, who cares about me like no other, he's always got my back and is the kindest and most comprehending boy. I also rely on a few other friends, like Kassandra and Kamora. Recently, I started working at Jungle Queen. It's a tourist attraction here and I've comes to see them as not just friends, but family. I even spent my 17 birthday there. Yes, sometimes it is a lot, school, work, church, club is all stressing to manage. As of right now, I am a junior and my 2nd/3rd year in mock trial. Not too long ago we even went to Philly for competition and I had the chance to travel in a plane for the very first time.I don’t have much, but I have motivation from my mother who was the first collage and high school graduate in our family. She went to the National University and that fills me with so much pride. My life may not be much, but it’s mine and I don’t regret a single second of it or anyone and I don't plan on that changing.
