Planning: Our Storyboard

Here's my storyboard, enjoy!

 1. An establishing shot showing Tom in his car.

2. Shows Tom approaching a stop sign with his phone displaying his daughter.

3. Medium close-up of Toms facial expression, content to go home.

4. Tom's car approaches and stops at the stops sign.

5. Cut quickly to Ben and Nico back home 

6. Move to medium long shot to show Nico and Ben discussing 

7. Use a point-of-view to shoe that Ben is speeding by displaying the dashboard.

8. Use a tracking shot to follow Ben drinking even more while driving.

9. Zoom to focus on the already emptied bottles of alcohol in the cup holders.

10. Birds-eye shot of both cars approaching the intersection quickly.

11. Quickly cut to eye level shot of tom being terrified.

12. Same shot but with Ben and Nico also being scared.

13. Cut hard to a black screen with the words "Some hours prior".

14. New establishing shot of Tom at the desk.

15. Close-up of tom appearing stressed.

16. Show how late it is on the clock.

17. High angle of the office.

18. Zoom into Tom's phone of his wife texting him.

 

19. Display of some messages between him and his wife.

20. Fade to Ben texting his mom.

21. Split screen with the messages to show Nico and ben at a party.

22. Use a tracking shot to follow drinks being passed around.

23. Two-shot of Ben and Nico drinking.

24. Medium-Long shot of the ambience at the party.

25. Dissolve back to Tom's office.

26. Split screen to display Toms watch and an extreme close up of him being tired.

27. Overlay of his message to his wife over a medium shot of him.

28. Cutaway to Ben and Nico enjoying the party. 

29. Ben's mom texts him to get home.

30. Close-up of Ben being scared.

 

31. Cutaway back to the moment that we left from earlier. 

32. Crosscut the faces of the two drivers. 

33. Hard cut to a black screen and add sounds to make it sound like a car crash.

34. Extreme close up of Tom's phone with a message left from his wife while his phone is covered in blood.

35. Move back to Ben and Nico horrified at what happened.

36. Show Tom's body, lifeless under the tarp.

37.  Two-shot of Tom's wife and kid crying.

38. Black screen with a statistic on drunk driving.
